Susan Ann Giddings
(1826-1908)

Susan Ann Giddings (later Susan Ann Turner) was the oldest of the eight children of Daniel Watson Giddings and his wife Sarah Jane Franks of March, Cambridgeshire, England.

Susan married Vincent Turner, an agricultural labourer from Dogsthorpe, Northamptonshire (now in the Peterborough district) in 1857.

The couple went on to have at least four children.

After the death of her father in 1878, Susan's mother lives with her, appearing with them on the 1891 census, until her own death in 1892.

By the time of the 1901 census, their youngest daughter Rebecca, working as a housekeeper, has returned to the family home, and she remains living with her father after Susan's death.

Susan pre-deceased her husband by 14 years - with him reaching the age of 94 in 1922.
