Robert Boulter
(1859-1943)

Robert Boulter was the fourth of the ten children of labourer Robert Boulter and his wife Mary Ann Moden of the fenland village of Wentworth, Cambridgeshire, England.

Robert worked as an agricultural labourer in the fenland surrounding his native Wentworth, and worked the land for more than 40 years.

He married Emily Amelia Clements of Cheveley, Suffolk, England, and they became parents to seven children between 1882 and 1895. Sadly though, their first two sons, Robert and William, both died in infancy.

Emily pre-deceased Robert by 4 years in May 1939. At the time of his burial in May 1943, the burial register notes him as being of 'Whitwick', although it's not clear where that is, but might have meant Westwick, which is a small village near Cambridge.
