The Lincoln family

The Lincoln family are not one of my ancestral families, and therefore their family history falls outside of my research.

Their connection to my family comes via my 3x Great Grandmother, Elizabeth Giddings, who married a Charles Lincoln of Potton, Bedfordshire, England in 1862, 10 years after having given birth to my 2x Great Grandmother Sarah Elizabeth Giddings illegitimately in 1852.

After her marriage to Charles, the couple had one daughter, Jane Lincoln, and a son Jesse who sadly failed to survive infancy, and within 10 years, Elizabeth would be dead.

Whilst it's clear that the now London-based Jane remained in contact with her half-sister up in Cambridgeshire, their own families ultimately grew distant.
