Isaac Taylor
(1796-1857)

Isaac Taylor was the fourth of the eleven children of Isaac Taylor, and his wife Sarah of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England.

Isaac married Ann Fenn in 1817, but less than two years later, she died. It appears that there weren't any children from this marriage.

Two months later, widowed Isaac re-married, this time to Sarah Gooby of Ely. Together they settled down to have a family of nine children. However Isaac's misfortune continues, with at least four consecutive children dying in infancy.

During the 1820s, Isaac found work as a Potter whilst aptly living on Potter's Lane, but he later worked as an Agricultural Labourer in Ely.
