John Whitehead
(1792-1821)
John Whitehead was one of at least five children of John Whitehead and his wife Susannah of Haddenham, Cambridgeshire, England.
John married Elizabeth Howard in 1813, and the couple settled down in the Hill Row area of Haddenham to become parents to three sons. Sadly, their marriage was cut short when John died, aged 28 years.
Elizabeth, with three young sons under the age of 8 years old, turned to William Moden - the widower of John's sister Esther Whitehead, and the couple were married a couple of years later in 1823.
They added four more children to the family before Elizabeth died in 1832 and William followed her to the grave in 1839.
The immediate fate of the young children is unclear, but they mostly survive and some emigrate to the USA.
