Maria Ann Yarrow
(1853-1914)
Maria Ann Yarrow (later Maria Ann Driver) was the youngest of the six children of John Yarrow, and the fourth child with his second wife Elizabeth Jeffery of Little Thetford, Cambridgeshire, England.
After marrying farmer Albert Driver of Stretham, Maria and her husband took up residence in Bromley and Horton Kirby - both in Kent - where they had three children. However, by the time of the 1911 census, it is noted that one of the children has died. The only child with them at this time (although now 33 years old) was their second - Albert Edwin. It is unclear so far as to which child had died as all could feasibly have had their own families by this time.
Whilst in Kent, Albert worked as a 'coachman', an 'aunctioneer's porter' and eventually a 'house agent's porter'.
Maria and her husband were last seen on the 1911 census, living in a flat in Bromley, Kent. Maria pre-deceased Albert by about ten years in 1914, when she died aged 61 years.
