Elizabeth Covell
(1748-?)
Elizabeth Covell (later Elizabeth Dewey) was the second of the seven children of William Covell and his wife Elizabeth Harlow of Witchford, Cambridgeshire, England.
In 1768, Elizabeth married Thomas Dewey of Witchford, marking the parish register with an 'x'.
The couple settled down to raise four children, although sadly their third child - daughter Ann - failed to survive infancy. Their fourth child, another daughter born the following year, took her name.
