Henry Dewsbury
(1845-1912)

Henry Dewsbury was the fourth of the twelve children of agricultural labourer William Dewsbury and his wife Rebecca Lythell of Stretham, Cambridgeshire, England.

Henry worked the agricultural land around the village of Stretham, as a Labourer for almost 60 years.

In 1867, he married Hannah Saberton of Ely, and together they had at nine children. Sadly, their second child Sarah Ann, and their penultimate child Kate, both died as children.

Not long after Hannah's death in 1908, Henry moves to live with his married daughter Mary Ellen Smith and her family, at Richmond Road, Cambridge. It seems that he died here, and never returned to live in his native Stretham.
